Plastic Packaging in Windhoek, Namibia (PPNam) is a well established manufacturer of a broad range of plastic packaging materials for the domestic and regional markets. The products produced and marketed range from printed plastic bags and wrapping materials to drums, bottles and plastic containers.

Since 2003 PPNam has been supplying clients in the Angolan retail and manufacturing sectors with different packing materials through its subsidiary wholesale business in Lubango, South Angola. With a rapidly growing demand from Angolan clients to have more personalized and high quality packaging products at a competitive price, PPNam and its local partner Ango Plasticos have decided to establish a joint venture in Lubango, Huila Province for the manufacturing of various high quality plastic packaging products. The factory will include blow moulding, extrusion and plastic recycling production lines and will provide direct employment to around 50 people by the end of the project. All members of staff will be given a rig

ourous on-the-job training.

The factory and product range will be the first of its kind in Angola and will have a major import substitution effect. The high quality packing materials will enable Angolan producers, processors and retailers to add value to their products and meet the higher quality demands from Angolan consumers.

Advance Consulting assisted the partners to develop the  project proposal and business plan and continues to be involved in the project’s implementation.
