DOEN Foundation can finance a variety of initiatives thanks to the financial contributions from the Dutch lotteries. DOEN utilises the contribution of the Dutch Post Code Lottery for the areas of Sustainable Development, the Sponsor Bingo Lottery contribution for the area of Welfare, and the contribution of the BankGiro Lottery for Cultural projects. However, DOEN only finances initiatives abroad on the area of Sustainable Development.

DOEN’s primary focus in the area of Sustainable Development consists of social-cultural aspects (people), economic aspects (profit) and ecological aspects (planet). DOEN Foundation created the following programs that represent all aspects:
