The Climate Smart Agriculture East Africa (CSA-EA) programme is a five-year project funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme is implemented by SNV, in partnership with Wageningen University and Research, CGIAR, Agriterra, and Rabo Partnerships. Through inclusive business development, the project aims to promote climate-smart agriculture for arable crops in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Through the Innovation and Investment Facility, the programme will fund selected SMEs and cooperatives. The programme wishes to receive proposals that include innovative and scalable climate-smart solutions that help unlock key bottlenecks along the selected value chains, which are oil seeds, pulses, cereals and potatoes. The maximum grant amounts to EUR 200,000, which cannot be more than 50% of the funds required for the proposed activity. Applications should be submitted before the 31st of May 2019, 17:00 East Africa Time.
