Self Help Africa and Imani Development are about to open the first call for proposals of the Enterprise Zambia Challenge Fund (EZCF), a competitive challenge fund to increase smallholder farmers’ opportunities in agriculture and aquaculture value chains in Zambia.

Enterprise Zambia Challenge Fund will target between 35 and 45 small and medium-size enterprises, who, in turn, will reach 150,000 smallholder farmers. The fund will invest a total of EUR 26 million, which will be granted to applicants over three calls for proposals. Applicants can request between EUR 200k and EUR 1m, must be for-profit (companies or cooperatives) and need to be registered in Zambia.
