GSMA has opened the second tender round of the Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation challenge fund, inviting applications that test new technical solutions, catalyse ideas to improve institutional systems and enable solutions to empower individuals and communities affected by complex emergencies and forced displacement. 


To be eligible, projects must use mobile technology in humanitarian contexts to address one of the following key themes: food security, mobile financial services, gender and inclusivity, mobile enable utilities and digital identity. Projects should be implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia & the Pacific, Middle East & North Africa or Latin America. Grants up to GBP 300,000 are available for winning proposals. Concept notes can be submitted until the 10th of August 2018, 18:00 British Summer Time.
