The Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems Development Activity (KCDMSD) is a five-year (Oct 2017 – Sep 2022) programme of USAID. It is funded as part of Feed the Future, the U.S. government’s global hunger and food security initiative that supports to increase agricultural production and reduce poverty and malnutrition in Kenya.

KCDMSD is seeking concept papers from private sector partners with ideas for business growth, market expansion, new technologies or business strategy innovations in the agricultural value chains and counties targeted. The focus is on strengthening the following value chains: dairy, fodder/feeds and horticulture (mango, passion fruit, avocado, banana, pineapple and sweet potato). Grants can go up to KES 25,000,000 (~USD 250,000) per project. Refer to the KCDMSD grant page for further information on the tender programme.
