The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) is an independent U.S. government agency established by Congress to support African-owned enterprises which improve lives in poor and vulnerable communities in Africa.

USADF is inviting proposals from African enterprises, cooperatives, and producer groups with innovative solutions that extend their own capabilities to increase revenues, create jobs, improve farmer incomes, and achieve sustainable market-based growth. The maximum grant amount is $250,000 per successful proposal. Eligible applicants are legally registered enterprises, associations or cooperatives that are 100% African-owned and managed by country nationals and working directly in the specified country sectors. The deadline for the application is the 29th of January 2018.

Refer to USADF's website for more information on criteria, countries and sectors of implementation. For additional information and support in preparing a winning proposal, contact Michel Geerligs.
